Why Is This Dating Game in Pixel Art?!

Lately, you’ve been obsessed with a pixel-art game called The Corporate Slave’s Battle Royale. Somehow, you’ve turned a workplace game into a dating FPS.

Note: FPS means first-person shooter.

You rummaged through a trash can [Inventory item +1]

You gave the item to a passing NPC and requested a head pat.

The NPC rejected your request [Affection -20]

You entered the text command [Touch abs]

You successfully harassed the NPC. The tiny pixel abs changed color.

You drew a prize [You got a copper screwdriver]

You unscrewed your neighbor’s front door and requested to sleep over.

The NPC resisted fiercely [Affection -50]

You entered the text command [Cuddle while sleeping]

You successfully cuddled the NPC all night. The tiny pixel cheeks turned red.

Just as expected.

There’s no problem one shot can’t solve. If there is, use two.

A new employee recently joined the company. He has a strange name and acts very oddly. He appears by people’s desks at random times every day, bringing cake, nuts, bouquets... and saying all sorts of sweet things. Whenever there’s danger, he’s the first to show up.

NPC 1 received a marriage proposal and blushed bright red. “So, is it happening today?”

NPC 2 held up a marriage proposal. “Wait, why does ours look so similar?”

NPC 3 blinked and pointed to the identical cover. “You mean these?”

We still don’t know how many NPCs the player sent marriage proposals to that day.

The player was delighted: “Their affection’s high enough. It was no trouble!”

Theme: Strive for a better life and love every day.
