[Bungo Stray Dogs] A Die-Hard Dazai Fan Teaches You How to Raise Dazai

I'm Ukyo Rin, a shut-in who loves manga and video games.

On an utterly ordinary day, I was in the middle of an exciting game.

Suddenly, everything went white, and something calling itself the Will of the World pulled me into a pure white space.

It said I was a chosen player, and that I had to save the world.

Me: Ha! What a load of nonsense. Keep talking. Sure, I like manga, but I don't have chuunibyou!

But that thing didn't even bother answering me...

'Congratulations, player. You have entered the WY instance. Loading game map...'

Me: ???

Hey, are you crazy? I never said I wanted to play!

I roared in fury, but the Will of the World acted as though it couldn't hear me and announced my mission from on high.

'Your mission is to save the previous savior of the world, Dazai Osamu.'

"No." I refused without hesitation.

A second later, it was as if something suddenly clicked. My eyes widened, and I asked in disbelief, "Wait... who did you say I have to save?"

'Dazai Osamu.'

"I'll save him!"

'...? '

The Will of the World didn't understand, but respected my choice.

'Please choose your identity.'

'A: The biggest boss behind the Armed Detective Agency'

'B: The biggest boss behind the Guild'

'C: The biggest boss behind the Port Mafia'

'D: The biggest boss behind the Organization'

I know the first three, but what the heck is the Organization in option D? Am I supposed to inherit a winery?

This is probably a story about a Dazai who's lost all hope in life and spends every day wanting to die, and how Player Rin and the others save him.

The protagonist is Dazai's biggest fan. He has the Will of the World as his System, giving him cheat abilities, and his power lets him restart the world directly.

A practical guide

1: This Dazai is a young Dazai reborn after Boss Dazai jumped to his death. The worldline keeps changing and adjusting to the protagonist's identity. The protagonist has countless secret identities, all powerful and high-ranking, at godfather or master level, just so he can give Dazai everything he wants.

2: Everyone in the story has all the memories of both the main world and the IF world. They are reborn with their memories and arrive in the IF world to save Dazai Osamu. Everyone dotes on him and raises him.

3: Warning: sickly Dazai, world-weary Dazai, and Dazai who thinks everyone hates him!

(The protagonist is a player. He simply raises Dazai and protects him, while watching the people outside who love Dazai fight for custody. You can read it as an all-characters-are-friends, everyone-loves-Dazai story. The protagonist is essentially Dazai's parent, playing both father and mother and giving him the very best of everything.)

4: It also incorporates Detective Conan. This isn't a purely relationship-focused story; there's a plot as well.

[A story about Dazai's biggest fan raising him, with a family-love focus and Dazai as everyone's beloved darling.]

Theme: Those who save others deserve to be saved, too
