Do Plants Have Heat Periods Too?

Blurb: Jiang Luo awakened the ability to "hear what plants are saying," turning from an overworked 996 office drone into a plant expert.

One day, a tree that blotted out the sky appeared in Jiang Luo's dream. It asked him to treat its friend and offered him a reward.

When he woke up, Jiang Luo saw a news report:

A branch had been broken off the national-level protected cultural relic known as the "Thousand-Year-Old Tree." The whole city was searching for the suspect who had damaged it.

Jiang Luo looked at the photo of the protected relic on the TV, then at the tree branch that had appeared out of nowhere beside him...

This reward...

Sure is precious.

After that, this protected relic kept coming to Jiang Luo, appearing first in his dreams and then in reality.

Jiang Luo had gotten used to it, until one day the tree transformed right in front of him into a long-haired man, completely naked and outrageously handsome.

Jiang Luo: ???

You've gone too far.

The man's handsome face turned slightly red. "Sorry, I couldn't control myself."

Just because Jiang Luo had looked at him one extra second, the man wouldn't leave him alone.

Chen Wunian had lived for thousands of years as a bodhi tree growing in a temple, free of sorrow, joy, and worry, until he met a human.

Recently, cultural relic conservators noticed that something was wrong with the ancient bodhi tree:

Branches would disappear for no reason, or it would suddenly shed its leaves.

Sometimes it even sprouted out of season.

The staff had no choice but to keep calling the plant expert: "Mr. Jiang, save our cultural relic!"

Jiang Luo, urgently summoned for the Nth time: ...

After the staff had left, he sat cross-legged beneath the tree and looked up at the towering branches. "What are you trying to do?"

The thousand-year-old bodhi tree remained silent, slowly blooming a few little flowers.

Then every one of them fell into Jiang Luo's arms.

I want to see you.

I like you.

Jiang Luo, his back aching, said expressionlessly, "Blooming flowers to butter me up won't work."

He had looked into it. There's no such thing as plants going into heat in spring!

And even if there were, nobody would be in heat every single day like you!
