With a string of intense elimination matches ahead, the System first puts Kira through Crayon Shin-chan-style soccer training, then gives him a magic crayon that can make anything he draws come to life. It's clearly determined to see him all the way through.

He randomly visits other sports anime to "learn from the masters," otherwise known as special training by riding on the coattails of the best.

During a routine receiving drill at Karasuno's gym, Ikkei Ukai serves balls one by one, and the others take turns receiving them.
