Good news: I transmigrated.
Bad news: I transmigrated into Lan, the Aeon of the Hunt.
Then I discovered that reality was wildly different from what I'd imagined.
What I imagined: Great! Can the Xianzhou Alliance provide me with an unlimited supply of Immortal Joy Water?
What actually happened: I blew up the homeworld of the Wingweavers with one arrow and dealt with the devastating disaster of the Denizens of Abundance launching a massive invasion of the Xianzhou from half a galaxy away.
What I imagined: Find somewhere with no people, wash up, and go to sleep. Unless the Xianzhou sends out a distress signal, I'll sleep until the end of time.
What actually happened: I patrol several Xianzhou ships at high intensity every day, routinely watch Fu Xuan, the Diviner of the Luofu, and General Jing Yuan at work, and secretly help take out a few Borisin who sneak in.
What I imagined: Cut off all contact. One step from a wandering Aeon who moves faster than light is enough to span the entire life of countless beings.
What actually happened: My old nemesis, Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance, found me. After exchanging pleasantries, they kissed me without warning.
Me, covering my face: Is something wrong here? Aren't we mortal enemies?
N years later.
#The Denizens of Abundance are back! Follow the Luofu Daily for the latest news from the front lines!
#The Cloud Knights have won a great victory without losing a single soldier! Victory, victory, and more victory!
#Marshal Hua personally pays a visit to the Reignbow Arbiter! The Alliance's future may be changed forever (breaking news)
Meanwhile, I'm still trying to negotiate with a certain nemesis: Um, could you stop blessing those short-lived species? It's getting hard to keep the cleanup under control.
Yaoshi (glances at me) (looks away) (lowers their gaze to my chest): Mm.
Then there's another news story.
#The Denizens of Abundance's offensive has retreated. Is the Plagues Author missing?
They call it a negotiation, but it's really seduction.
Me: ???
A quick note before you start (the main story is in third person):
1. The protagonist is Lan, the Aeon of the Hunt themselves. They have amnesia and may be a little more carefree, closer to their younger self. (This story uses the theory that Lan ascended to godhood from a Xianzhou native. Their personality is an original interpretation.)
2. Lan/Yaoshi, enemies-to-lovers (sort of).
3. On the author's views: I like both Lan and Yaoshi a lot. Here's my personal interpretation:
Lan: The Reignbow Arbiter, who hunts down every injustice. The romance of the Hunt! Whoever attacks the Xianzhou will be hunted down, no matter how far away. Maximum coolness.
Yaoshi: May every living being obtain what they seek. Yaoshi answers every prayer they hear, whether reasonable or unreasonable, sincere or false. They are an Aeon who grants every wish without exception. It's true that this has had bad consequences, but they have also saved many people. Their relationship with the Hunt is very complicated, not simply hostile.
The title is a play on the meme "Reincarnated as Raiden Shogun, Then Invincible Under Heaven."
The blurb might seem to have an Aha-style Elation vibe, but the actual tone may be closer to a serious Fuli-style Remembrance (?). These two weird, unlikely nemeses are strangely fun to ship.
Theme: Hunt down the stars!
