A Humid Summer Night

A dignified, scheming powerhouse with an intense possessive streak x a carefree little kitten

[Short story / sweet fluff / sex first, love later / both virgins / the male lead falls first, secretly gets jealous and broods in the shadows]

Yu Nan spots a man at a bar. She hooks a finger into his loose tie, and the two of them end up in bed at a hotel until morning.

Yu Nan can tell at a glance that they come from different worlds, but so what? In the adult world, they each get what they want.

Afterward, neither of them is quite satisfied, and they end up sleeping together at every hotel in Jing City.

Yu Nan is busy with work. One night, as she's writing a proposal, the man tosses it aside.

"I'll help you write it later. Right now, get up here and sit down."

After he disrupts her work yet again, Yu Nan decides the man has too much of an appetite. She deletes his contact information and never gets in touch again.

She hears that a new top boss has been parachuted in, and everyone in the office is on edge.

Holding the financing proposal she's finally finished, Yu Nan knocks on the new boss's office door.

The new boss's voice is deep and pleasant, but somehow familiar...

Yu Nan looks up.

The man she'd slept with is sitting behind the desk, staring at her with a cold expression.

Reading Guide:

1. Four-year age gap.

2. Sweet romance, and very short.

3. The male lead is devoted to the female lead in both body and heart! The female lead has had an ex before him (this is mostly my personal preference; I love seeing the male lead get jealous and brood in the shadows!).

4. Lots of creative liberties. It's a sweet little story, so don't take it too seriously. Enjoy!
