The Pathetic Demon God Desperately Wants to Go Home

After sleeping for a hundred years, Nian Guoyu was jolted out of her hometown by an earthquake, bed and all, leaving her body and bed separated.

She woke up and opened her eyes. She wasn't in bed, but in a graveyard?

She stood up and looked closely. Her original body was gone. Had her soul possessed someone else?

She went home and found that her new self was a dim-witted, spineless loser?

She lay down on the bed and found herself face-to-face with a dazzlingly fair prince consort?

Though she had her doubts, she decided to make the best of things. So...

She helped her trembling wife to her feet, put on the green hat, and took the blame.

She slapped the shameless emperor, put on her chainmail, and guarded against assassins.

She found her scattered underlings, all top talents in their fields, and was very pleased.

She asked around about her missing hometown and got some good news. Time to go home!

Just as everything was heading toward a happy ending,

The ruler, Jiang Jingyi, suddenly came down with a strange illness and sought an elixir of immortality. Nian Guoyu was forced to take on the task. Figuring she might as well search for the medicine while heading home, she set off on a journey to find the elixir and return to her hometown.

Three months later...

Nian Guoyu: Ahhh, why is my hometown so far away?

Underling A flapped its wings and asked, "Are you sure you don't have any dark magic left?"

Nian Guoyu: What do you think?

Underling A: Don't ask what I think. Ask what you think.

Nian Guoyu cursed furiously: Bleep bleep bleep... fuck bleep bleep... damn... it...

Underling B: Looks like our boss hasn't been idle back in her hometown. She's even learned a new language. She's definitely my role model!
