Do Not Eat Your Guide

Shui Shaoyi wakes up to discover that she's become a back-alley Guide. The "black clinic" she runs has been shut down by the Empire, and she's been arrested and sent to a military district to earn credit for her crimes.

The intelligent orb rates her S-rank.

The only S-rank Guide who can provide mental therapy to S-rank Sentinels.

Shui Shaoyi: Stunned.

A back-alley Guide means she can't do anything at all. She only knows how to trick people. Even her spirit form is just a little pudding that can't be eaten.

To stay alive, Shui Shaoyi has no choice but to grit her teeth and take on Sentinels.

On her first day in business, a Sentinel's vicious wolf spirit form licks her little pudding.

So angry that night, her spirit form evolves into a little cake with swear words written in colorful frosting.

On her second day in business, a Sentinel coaxes her little cake into letting his black panther spirit form take a tiny bite.

So angry that night, her spirit form mutates into a puffed-up, rock-hard orange candy.

On her third day in business, a Sentinel's giant python spirit form gobbles her little cake right up.

So angry that night, her spirit form turns into a big bottle of fizzy, ice-cold cola.

Shui Shaoyi is utterly speechless. Her spirit form can split endlessly, change shape, and doesn't hurt when eaten. In fact, it feels kind of good. But... casually eating a Guide's spirit form is still pretty immoral.

These S-rank Sentinels treat her like a cafeteria. They keep coming over for a bite whenever they feel like it, and they're getting more and more clingy, insisting she mentally imprint them.

Come on, who'd let a chicken drumstick imprint them?

Still, they don't get to eat for free.

Shui Shaoyi brings out the other little pudding she'd saved in advance. No, her other spirit form.

It's thriving on the Sentinels' "nourishment."

It's already a nine-tailed fox, just a little short of reaching S-rank.

Not a Guide's S-rank, but a Sentinel's S-rank.

What's it like to eat your own Guide, one bite at a time, until she's your rival?

Probably like begging her to beat you to death with all your strength at the training ground every day, then putting on a dog collar and begging her to be gentle with you once you're off the training ground...
