Hopeless (Reborn)

Lan Yunting knows better than anyone what kind of person Shen Xun is.

Shen Xun is his enemy. That is the only answer. Because of Shen Xun, Lan Yunting lost his family and everything he had. Because of Shen Xun, Lan Yunting went from an exalted young master to someone forced to humble himself and beg people everywhere for help. Because of Shen Xun...

Lan Yunting ought to hate Shen Xun, but he cannot forget that great fire. Shen Xun started it, and the shrill screams and wails in the inferno still haunt him. Those who looked down on him and Shen Xun, who treated Shen Xun like a plaything, were reduced to tearful, crawling wrecks, utterly stripped of their dignity. Shen Xun alone seemed to be in a good mood. Wearing what looked like the same white shirt he had worn when they first met, he smiled at Lan Yunting.

Shen Xun said, "Don't forget me."

And so Lan Yunting truly could not forget Shen Xun, not in this life or the next.
