The Lies of Ulysses

My upcoming novel, A Guide to Getting Along with Monsters. If you like it, my dear readers, please add it to your favorites. Love you all~

Sherry Garcia was the wisest and mightiest king the Kingdom of Saan had ever known.

His many achievements are still celebrated by later generations.

But future generations have investigated not only the king's great deeds, but also his almost entirely blank love life. According to the records, the king never married.

And according to unofficial histories, this wisest and mightiest king was deceived only three times in his life.

All three times by the same person.

The first time, that person deceived him into thinking they were frail and pitiful and needed help.

The second time, that person deceived him by repeatedly claiming to love him, then tricked him into handing over a dangerous forbidden book.

The third time, the poor king thought his beloved had died and was consumed with grief. But then his dead beloved brazenly appeared before him once more.

Reader's Notes:

1. A short-to-medium-length story, 37 chapters in the main text. The entire novel has been written in advance.

2. The author doesn't read comments, but thanks every dear reader who's willing to leave one.

3. The love interest's full name still includes the surname, because the author thinks it feels strange without it (fiddles with fingers).

4. The setting isn't rigorous, and the romance is the main focus. You're advised to put your brain away before reading, ovo.

Theme: Seeing isn't always believing.
