After My Ex-Boyfriend Was Hit and Killed by a Car

Lin Ping's ex-boyfriend was in a car accident.

Their breakup had been ugly. They'd both hated each other enough to want to tear the other apart, but the dead deserve respect, so Lin Ping still attended his funeral.

If Lin Ping had known there were really ghosts in this world, she would never have gone to Zhou Mo's funeral, even if it killed her.

At first, the house kept getting inexplicably cold. Lin Ping thought the air conditioner was broken and called a repairman three times in three days.

On the fourth day, meals started appearing in the kitchen on their own, and the clothes piled in the laundry basket were washed and hung out on the balcony.

On the fifth day, red words began appearing on the walls, from "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you" to "Go die, go die, go die." Terrified, Lin Ping moved to a hotel in the middle of the night.

On the sixth day, Lin Ping was bombarded with harassing texts from an unknown number.

On the seventh day, Lin Ping saw Zhou Mo in the hotel bathtub. He was angrily washing the clothes she'd thrown in the laundry basket.
