A Guide to Taming Sentinels

"Bian Jiuyao is the sharpest blade there is. Only Pei Yunchuan can control him."

The fiercest man deserves the fiercest hawk to tame. A scabbard and its sword: the more the sword resists, the more it needs to be disciplined.

Here are some rough character concepts. I'll work on the blurb later...

The guide, gong, and the sentinel, shou, start off at daggers drawn, but are forced into a bond by the Tower's matching system.

The sentinel would rather go mad and be corrupted than accept the guide. After all, to a proud man who demands absolute freedom, being bonded to a guide feels too much like becoming someone's dog. He has no interest in being a dog. He wants to be a masterless hawk, hunting in the sky.

The guide is a delicate, gentle-looking beauty who seems harmless. Sometimes he acts a little coy and plays up his helplessness, but in reality he's a dark, physically powerful madman. He occasionally purifies and soothes other sentinels' mental energy, but every sentinel who undergoes treatment with him leaves the clinic trembling and refuses to say a word about the process.

He's the sort of darkly obsessive man who'll drag you down and make you wear a collar, no matter how high you fly or how brazen you act around him, then place the chain in his own hands. His desire to conquer is overwhelming.

In the end, their relationship becomes this:

"That is a sharp blade only he can control."

I am your scabbard, your line of defense, your home.

Give me some man-on-man hate (just kidding)
