[Showbiz] Half-Ripe Lovers

A first-person story written purely for fun. My name is Aragaki Nana. When you hear my name, you probably assume I'm Japanese, but I'm actually Chinese through and through. Aragaki is also an ancient Chinese surname, just a rather uncommon one. Though I'm Chinese, I've lived in Japan for over a decade, and it's a bit of a complicated story. My parents divorced when I was very young because my dad cheated. The court awarded custody to my mom, and my career-driven mother went to Japan for work, so I came with her to the Land of the Rising Sun. Later, she remarried, and I stayed there. But my mom always told me, "Though I wear Western clothes, my heart is still Chinese." Of course, this novel isn't about my parents' ancient divorce drama, or my years studying in Japan. It's about my romantic exploits. To briefly introduce myself, I'm a student at the University of Tokyo and also a model. Thanks to my excellent Chinese genes, I stand out among Japanese women, whose average height is 158 centimeters, so I became a magazine model. It was also through this job that I started meeting people in the entertainment industry and began my dating life. My boyfriend is a member of the well-known Korean boy group Hway. We've been dating for over half a year now. But everyone knows that relationships in the entertainment industry aren't all that deep. I'm not in love with him, and he isn't all that in love with me either. The reason we've managed to date this long is that living in different countries means we don't get in each other's way. Theme: For adults, love is just a seasoning for life
