Gu Ruoxian is the most admired senior disciple of his immortal sect, peerlessly elegant and able to cleave ten thousand miles with a single sword. That is, until he gets bound to a strange System: [Lie Flat 001].
As its name suggests, the System's purpose is to make him slack off and lie flat, weak and easy to bully. Gu Ruoxian, a heaven-blessed prodigy, scoffs at it and ignores it.
Then a string of misfortunes befalls him: he gets injured and coughs blood, breaks bones, loses hands and feet, and is poisoned into a coma.
At first, everyone sympathizes with Gu Ruoxian. But little by little, things start to take a strange turn.
