The Skinning of the Capital's Most Beautiful Woman

Before becoming the most beautiful woman in the capital, Xingxing was the most beautiful woman in Xiangcheng. Before that, she was the most beautiful woman in Rongcheng.

Xingxing never stayed in any one place for long.

She had more suitors than fish crossing a river, among them many men of extraordinary good looks.

Beauty without money or power to protect it is like a pear hanging over a garden wall, easy for anyone to pick.

Xingxing had plucked their beautiful eyes, their delicate noses, their rosy lips, and their exquisite ears. She had also flayed a few people alive.

Xingxing was getting a little tired of picking pears.
