Bai Jinyu has a junior who’s warm and clingy.
From what he can tell, this junior has the looks, the personality, and the physique. As for brains... Sorry, he’s got none.
The junior is sweet, warm, and lovable, but Bai Jinyu isn’t good at dealing with him. So he decides to keep a safe social distance.
But the poor junior comes to him like a jilted lover, complaining: “Senior, I think the person I like hates me. He doesn’t reply to my messages, and when I go looking for him, he dodges me. He even said I’m putting too much pressure on him.”
Bai Jinyu has a vague feeling that this situation sounds familiar, but his inexplicable sense of responsibility as a senior and his immense sympathy for the junior win out over his better judgment.

He teaches the junior how to retreat in order to advance, how to take things slowly, and how to build a sustainable relationship.
Bai Jinyu quotes chapter and verse, talking without a break until his throat goes dry. Then he sums up: “Remember, you have to get the level of attention right. Don’t scare him!”
The junior looks at him with admiration and says earnestly, “I understand, strategist!”
So Bai Jinyu, a giant of theory, thinks his junior is ready to fly solo and he can retire in triumph. What he doesn’t expect is for the junior to use every single thing he learned from Bai Jinyu on him, one move at a time.
He retreats to advance, takes things slowly, builds a sustainable relationship... and then becomes the junior’s boyfriend.
Bai Jinyu, two parts puzzled, three parts bewildered, and five parts wary, asks the question of a lifetime: “Have you noticed you’ve got the wrong person?”
The junior looks him up and down several times and doesn’t see a problem. He even wraps an arm around Bai Jinyu’s waist and kisses him. “No mistake. It’s you, Senior. Practicing strategies with your strategist is perfectly normal, right?”
