Stardew Valley, but Mafia

💎 The bonus chapter is complete. It’s best enjoyed alongside the reader comments. Thank you to all the lovely readers supporting the official release! 💎 Completed story next door: 27BG, My First Love Is Actually Myself 💎 Coming soon: A Guide Dog Can Be a Big Dog Too, Right? After being tricked by a white-haired online friend, player Kaw ai Arisu went bankrupt from the start, surrounded by nothing but pickled cabbage. Her vision went black, and she promptly fainted on the spot. Just as she was furious enough to quit the game, she got the “Namimori Town” DLC. She could explore the expanded map of Namimori Town, meet new NPCs, follow everyone’s unique storylines, and even develop romances so she could trick them into working for her. It was fun, sure, but Kawai Arisu declared: “If I play this game again, I’m a dog. I’m going to drink some traditional medicine and cure my Stardew Valley addiction.” A few days later, she said: “Who swapped my medicine for triple-strength espresso?” “Stardew is forever! I’m going to play Stardew Valley for the rest of my life!” Back in the game, the player refreshed her profile. Name: [Kawai Arisu] Island name: [■■■ Island] Wait, island name? Wasn’t it supposed to be a farm name? The player stared in confusion as she discovered that she had an island in addition to the town of Namimori. And that island kept dropping cool guys with every hair color imaginable, deluxe weapons, mysterious treasures, and fragments of history. The mysterious island was full of secrets, all tempting her to stay. To spend more time there, Kawai Arisu bullied NPCs into doing her quests. Then she had a sudden idea: why not marry an NPC and make him help with the farming? She zeroed in on the brown-haired NPC she liked best and proposed to him relentlessly, blocked his door to give him gifts, broke into his house to sleep, and did every shameless thing imaginable. The NPC went from horrified to resigned, and finally accepted her proposal with great reluctance. Then one day, she discovered Damn it, this island is real, and so is Namimori. The NPCs I bullied are knocking on my door right now. (Presses philtrum) The brown-haired NPC smiled as he watched her flee in a panic, remembering the whole time she’d spent proposing to him and then casually quitting the game. NPC: Smiles :) NPC: “Why are you running? I said yes, didn’t I?” NPC: “You’re going to abandon me after seducing me?” Player: QAQ I’ll be good * You don’t need to have played the game to understand! I’ll explain things in the author’s notes and the story! Please note: ① A silly, everyone’s-darling-and-everyone’s-bully story. Friendships bloom in every direction, and the final pairing is 27. Everyone else is a good homie, a bickering best bro, a Namimori-bound spirit, or a golden retriever who cries, “Abandoning him is inhuman, Romeo! Take him back!” ② It’s not all farming. Expect everyday cat-teasing, dog-playing, and Mafia mingling. Some game mechanics have been changed. ③ At first, the game has pixel characters. Later, the worlds merge, and the island owner will have to pay for all her reckless antics. ④ The game device the protagonist uses later is based on the omnidirectional VR treadmill from the movie Ready Player One. Related products already existed in real life in 2016, and all descriptions of VR devices and games are based on real-world examples. Tips: Please don’t offer writing advice. I love my story and will only write what I’m happy with. Pirated versions have huge differences. I’m not responsible for their inaccurate versions, so please don’t attack me over content that doesn’t exist in my story (TvT). I’m just as confused as you are. I never wrote this thunderous plot twist! 🙀 Extreme personal attacks on characters will be deleted to protect everyone’s reading experience. All other opinions and corrections are welcome! Please add my upcoming story, Dating Four Killuas After getting separated from her real boyfriend, Killua, she meets his sharp-tongued teenage self, his little-kid self, and his darkened clan-head self. Then all of them start fighting over the question, “Who does your girlfriend like best?” Female lead: “...Somebody help me! How am I supposed to keep them all happy?” A romance all the way through, with lots of cat-and-dog cuddles. Theme: Bonds between people can overcome any hardship
