As an automaton, she was undoubtedly exceptional. She had served the most elite sorcerers, and she had also served a Mafia godfather. As long as her heart remains intact, an automaton possesses eternal youth and immortality. She made a wish to every master she served. "Please grant me a soul and put an end to my eternal life." Unfortunately, it had yet to come true. > Chiyu's current masters were the Double Blacks of the Port Mafia. One day, one of the two defected from the Port Mafia without warning. While Chiyu was still debating which master to continue serving, the masters she had served over a century ago came looking for her. The white-haired sorcerer hadn't changed at all. He was just as mean as ever: "Huh? What does a mere automaton know about having a soul? Even if you became human, nothing good would come of it." The blond godfather smiled as he needled the sorcerer: "Then don't bother her. How about trying to learn some respect for others?" It sounded nice, but Chiyu wouldn't be fooled. Because a century ago, he hadn't granted her wish either. > Chiyu went missing. After learning the news one after another, the Double Blacks both headed to Britain, the birthplace of automata. The plane Chuuya was on exploded and crashed halfway there, while the ship Dazai was traveling on veered off course and headed into the Pacific Ocean. When the two finally found Chiyu again, the sorcerer and the godfather were still bickering, and someone had suddenly stolen the prize from under their noses.
