He Cheng couldn't stand his new neighbor.
Such a show-off.
From their first meeting, He Cheng had a bad impression of the man. His perfectly neat hair, suit and tie, and interview-ready smile all confirmed He Cheng's judgment: this university professor, Xu Henian, belonged to a different class from him.
So why did Xu Henian live in the outskirts, walking through narrow alleys with his briefcase every day, carefully protecting his perfect suit from the peeling walls?
He Cheng didn't care. The guy probably had something wrong with his head.

Xu Henian couldn't stand his new place.
Especially that neighbor.
Xu Henian was used to the elite world. He had never met anyone so slovenly in his life: messy hair, shuffling out in slippers with a listless air, doing jobs that required no skill whatsoever, running errands, shaking milk tea, and cheating people.
The guy had no proper job and seemed willing to do anything for money, but he was also incredibly lazy, yawning as he took the bills from your hand. Xu Henian even thought that if He Cheng ever ended up working the street, he'd casually set up a loudspeaker beside himself to repeat, "Rent boy, five hundred a time. Rent boy, five hundred a time..."
He'd be too lazy to call out himself.
---Until that day, when rain poured outside.
He Cheng knocked on his door, drenched from head to toe. "I need money. Would you buy a night with me? It's cheap."
Xu Henian put down his pen. He meant to ask, What's wrong? But, as if possessed, he said, "...How much?"
He Cheng smiled. "Fifty."
Xu Henian's throat tightened. He thought, See? Just as I expected. A little money can buy all his dignity.
So vulgar.
Half an hour later.
He Cheng slapped Xu Henian across the face. "When I said buy a night with me, I meant cleaning your place and doing your chores, not doing you!"
He cursed as he got dressed, then flipped him off. "What a dumbass."
"You're so damn vulgar!"
