[Top Scholar × Prince]

Some fellow down the mountain made a scene, saying he wanted to see him. His senior brother beat him until he was covered in blood.

When Lu Ciyou hurried over and saw the man, he knew trouble had found him.

Lu Ciyou's life was ruined by a great fire five years ago.

The once-celebrated Top Scholar had a grandfather who was corrupt, had slaughtered an entire family, and then committed suicide to evade justice.

No one knew he was the sole survivor of that massacre.

He had watched helplessly as his loved ones fell one after another beneath the killers' blades.

Though those responsible were eventually brought to justice, the mastermind behind it all was never found.

In the end, Lu Ciyou set down his writing brush and took up a three-foot sword.

On a snowy day in the first month of winter, Li Yunji came to the Cold Moon Sect, his injuries only recently healed.

His moon-white robes were spattered with crimson, but all he could see was the immortal-like figure right before him.

“Master... I've finally found you!”

He collapsed sweetly into the other's arms, determined not to let go.

At a palace banquet ten years ago, the other man had unexpectedly saved him.

He had taught him how to survive and given him a second chance at life.

He had waited ten whole years to call him “Master.”

But when they met again, the man didn't remember him at all.

It didn't matter!

As long as he could stay by Lu Ciyou's side, nothing else mattered!

A chilling glint silently vanished from his eyes, replaced by a single tear, wounded and helpless.

“Master, it hurts so much...”

-

As the big bad wolf wagged his tail and fawned like a dog, his disguise fell away.

Li Yunji's heart nearly stopped. He was dead for sure!!!

The sword in Lu Ciyou's hand rested against the man's pale neck, then pressed a little closer.

“Was it fun, playing me?”

The wolf shook his head frantically, kneeling on the ground and clinging desperately to Lu Ciyou's leg.

“Master, I can explain!!!”

Lu Ciyou sat down without a fuss, his long leg crossed and lazily kicking the other's lower abdomen.

The corners of his lips lifted, and the edges of his eyes were red.

“Then explain this too... What were you doing under the covers last night after stealing your master's underpants?”

“Show me again, right here in front of your master. Hmm?”
