The Contract Assistant's Term Has Expired [Ancient-to-Modern Transmigration]

Fu Yue heard that her younger sister had found her a bodyguard.

She met her once: a beautiful, delicate young woman who seemed frail and a little shy.

This was a bodyguard?

Fu Yue was skeptical.

But she was also short a personal assistant, so she kept her on.

The trial period was one month, and the contract was for a year. As long as the girl didn't go too far, Fu Yue was willing to pay for a face like that.

Unexpectedly, the girl did an excellent job and took care of her in every way: she thoughtfully prepared three meals a day, patiently looked after her when she got drunk, and stayed by her side when she was sick... She even risked her own safety to save her when danger struck.

Fu Yue was completely smitten and resolved to keep her, only for the other woman to turn her down.

“Ms. Fu, the contract is over. Perhaps we'll meet again.”

Su Qing came from ancient times. She had great martial prowess but no money to her name.

With no other choice, she became a live-in bodyguard for a wealthy person.

But her employer said the job was called “personal assistant.”

Her employer was strange. She was always staring at Su Qing in a daze, pestering her to look at the stars and the moon with her, and chatting about poetry and philosophy of life...

Su Qing: What a talkative person. I'll put up with it a little longer.

When the one-year contract ended, Su Qing started a new job, never expecting her former employer to come after her...

Su Qing: I have a new job.

Fu Yue: If I can't be your employer, can I be your wife?

Su Qing: ????

Fu Yue: I used to scoff at the idea of love being traded for money. Now, I wish money could buy love...

Su Qing: If you're losing it, go take a cold shower.

Fu Yue: Sure thing, right away!

Theme: Love can't be measured in money. Sincerity matters most.
