At four, Kleinze thought it didn't matter what the future held. Things couldn't get any worse.
At eleven, Kleinze vowed she would never let the Selwyns become casualties of war.
At thirteen, Kleinze thought the school shouldn't be like this.
At fifteen, Kleinze thought the world shouldn't be like this.

Before You Read:
1. Focuses on the Marauders' generation, with the Founders' generation as well.
2. I research what I can find. Anything I can't find is my own invention. I've made up a lot of details about the Selwyns.
3. A slow burn, with a long prologue. There is a significant childhood section before the story officially reaches Hogwarts. First year begins in Chapter 28.
4. Even after she gets to Hogwarts, she won't quickly become close to the main characters from the original series, at least not in the first term of first year.
5. No main pairing, but there are several one-sided crushes. James and Lily are not a pairing here, and there is a one-sided yuri crush.
6. The protagonist is a genius, but this isn't a power fantasy, and she isn't perfect. She may do things that are controversial. The story focuses on her growth and the plot.
7. Some spells, alchemy, and Runes items are made up. The author loves inventing little trinkets.
