The Yokohama Novelist's Casebook

I'm a very ordinary person.

One way this shows is that in a world where everyone has brightly colored hair, I'm the only one around with plain black hair and black eyes.

So I'm ordinary. Not even my childhood friend, the world's greatest detective, can change that.

Edogawa Ranpo: Hey!

But this ordinary me has an extraordinary dream: I will write a novel that's at least halfway decent! I'll rise from being a third-rate novelist to a second-rate novelist!

"Agh! Lord Ranpo can't take this anymore! Forget your supernatural ability that turns what you write into reality. Go outside and ask anyone where your novels are ordinary!"

I replied coldly, "That's just your childhood-friend bias talking. Don't I know how good my writing is?"
