The General Turned from Beta to Omega [GB]

The first time Yu Ning saw Shen Ran at the base, she wondered how an empire rotten to the core could still have a fool like him.

A beta born to commoners had climbed to his current position solely through military achievements earned in a sea of blood.

Honest and frugal, always leading from the front, he was like a locust tree growing from barren, desolate soil: ordinary, yet resilient.

At the time, Yu Ning came from a prominent family and had a bright future ahead of her. She was the dream lover of every omega in the Imperial Capital.

She had not the slightest desire to keep this common-born beta as a lover on the side.

To her, Shen Ran was like a dog kept by His Majesty the King: generally used to guard the house, but when he was no longer useful, the king he served would squeeze the last bit of value out of him by making dog meat hot pot.

He was just a commoner. What was the point? In the end, the nobles would seize all the credit, while people like him would take the blame. That was what Yu Ning thought.

She never could have imagined that fourteen years later, she would personally overthrow the decaying old empire for Shen Ran, then force the once-arrogant neighboring Federation to the negotiating table.

The empire's people stranded in the Federation boarded an imperial starship. Their families were waiting to welcome them home.

Shen Ran had no memories of his life before arriving in the Federation, nor any documents proving he was an Imperial citizen.

He knew it was absurd to think he could go home with them.

But when the new empress saw his awkward expression, she gently brought him aboard her starship and told him she would take every one of her people home.

If Shen Ran had been a real omega, he probably would have caught the almost bitter scent of citrus in Yu Ning's pheromones when she found him and said she would take him back to the Empire.

But he was only a beta whose glands had been forcibly implanted. He couldn't sense the overwhelming longing and possessiveness carried by her pheromones.

Aboard the starship heading home, Yu Ning had finally managed to pull him into her arms, only to find Shen Ran burning hot. She could feel the heat even through his clothes.

It didn't feel like a fever. It seemed more like an omega in heat.

Her Ran-ge had become an omega.

*Sweet pregnancy story, with pregnancy and childbirth. Not a strong female lead story; the plot is just for fun.
