No Cats Allowed in the Dorm!

Zhenzhen is a stray cat raised by Lu Jue, the illegitimate son of a wealthy family.

He doesn't know that his owner is an illegitimate son whom everyone despises. He doesn't know that, in the eyes of other kittens, he's actually pretty shabby.

All he knows is that his owner buys milk, warms it up, and shares a few sips with him. He sneaks fish from the garden pond and brings half to his master. Life is pretty carefree.

So what if Yuanbao was adopted by an owner who lived in a mansion? Zhenzhen huffed to himself. Would Yuanbao dare compete with his owner for food?

Still not as good as me, meow!

Later, his owner was brought back to the wealthy family and gradually won the favor of its head. From then on, when his master scolded someone, Zhenzhen hissed at them; when his master was happy, he turned on the charm. He was really throwing his weight around on his owner's behalf, even more smug than Yuanbao, who had been adopted by a rich owner, had ever been.

But a cat's life is short. Zhenzhen realized he had fallen ill with something incurable. He wanted to sneak away and find somewhere deserted so his owner wouldn't be sad.

But just as he was making his plans, Lu Jue ran into a kidnapping.

To protect his foolish owner, Zhenzhen bravely bit down on the bad guy's wrist.

In the final second before he died, Zhenzhen licked the palm of his owner's hand.

Owner, you mustn't forget me! You're going to be very rich, so you have to build me a huge tombstone with the words: Here lies Zhenzhen, the bravest little cat.

You mustn't get another kitten. You have to remember King Zhenzhen forever!

Owner! Later, pay those people who write books to say in their books that cats are humanity's most loyal friends!

Owner, owner, did you hear me?

Owner... after I die, get yourself a new kitten.

When Lu Jue was twelve, he was brought back to the wealthy family.

Everyone said he was lucky: an illegitimate son who inherited the entire Lu family. But no one knew that he had lost the most precious thing in the world on that rainy night.

At eighteen, Lu Jue got into the best university in S City through his own hard work.

His roommate, Pei Shu, was a pretty, pampered boy who was always ordering Lu Jue around. Lu Jue didn't like him.

Especially those lake-blue eyes of his, which made him look mixed-race.

After seeing the world's most precious gem, everything else that resembles it looks like a fake.
