The Wizard's Strange Cases: A Record of Achievements [Western Crossover]

In the eyes of others:

The Mage's Record of Achievements and Strange Tales is a magic handbook that can help you fulfill your potential. Obtain it, possess it, and become its owner, and you will have wealth and self-fulfillment, becoming an all-powerful mage!

In the protagonist's eyes:

He was lucky enough to become the record's temporary owner. Just as the rumors promised, he gained wealth and a sense of achievement, as well as an unexpected pet mount. But the truth was nothing like that!!

Before getting the Record of Achievements and Strange Tales, Miller could learn any kind of magic in a flash. After getting it, he seemed to have gotten less intelligent.

Although the young fire beast had accepted him, to become its master, he still had to earn a million dollars to truly claim this gold-devouring beast and finally earn the record's approval!

In the midst of all this, he also wondered:

He was a mage, but why did he have to become the owner of the Record of Achievements and Strange Tales?

His teacher, Dr. Strange, told him:

The Record of Achievements and Strange Tales is neither wholly good nor wholly evil. Its past, present, and future are all for its owner to decide. Since you are its owner now, you must take on that responsibility.

The doctor had tried to find other ways for it to establish itself in this world, but no one was willing to believe in it. By a stroke of luck, it was given a flashy reputation, making people eager to use it to achieve greatness.

If the doctor hadn't subdued it and partially purified it, its value would have been every bit as outrageous as its original reputation suggested.

The villains, a whole crew of Davids, fought tooth and nail to get the Record of Achievements and Strange Tales. Later, Miller realized that they were the real idiots!

Through his trials, Miller came to understand the record's past and present:

The Record of Achievements and Strange Tales did not come from the world of magic. Its existence was meant to test whether the fools of the world really were fools. Only fools thought they could use it to fulfill their potential. Clever people had long since been thinking about how to use it, destroy it, and make something of themselves.

The Ten-Thousand-Fathom Forest trials reopen:

Fight alongside the young fire beast, and reach perfect coordination!

Miller discovers the connection between the young fire beast and the Record of Achievements and Strange Tales across their past and present.
