[Cthulhu] Legendary Investigator, No Romance Allowed

Question: What should you do if you encounter a real Outer God in a tabletop roleplaying game?

Ophelia: Thanks for asking. What else can I do?

I can't run away, and I can't die. I can only give up and let things happen.

Actually becoming an investigator and all that... It might be kind of fun. For example, you could be hunted by cultists, run into a bunch of Outer Gods having a tea party while traveling, get ambushed the moment you open your front door, struggle to survive in a strange era, or have an intense encounter with a teammate whose species you don't even know... Then you could fail a SAN check when you see your teammate's true form and go completely insane...

...Heh. Those are tears of frustration.

Actually, it's not that fun. :)

And besides... Even if split-personality male leads are all the rage these days, that doesn't mean I want to date over a thousand of that bastard's secret identities (a certain Nyarlathotep) in the tabletop game I'm playing!

Ophelia: I'm breaking down. I'm breaking down so hard I can't break down any further.jpg

After abandoning her life as a cultist and trying to go straight, Ophelia keeps running into one person while she's forced to work as an investigator. He's dangerous, mysterious, and captivating... He's always by her side, throwing her into one game after another and smiling as he watches her struggle.

Humans once tried to escape, but every attempt ended in failure.

--- How could a tiny insect resist such an overwhelming force?

And at the very end, He drew her into His arms and, as always, lifted a finger to tap her forehead... He smiled and said, "My dear sweet girl, my dear Ophelia... Why resist? In your human words, this is my love for you..."

"It's a gift from me to you." The greatest honor.

Ophelia, who couldn't bring herself to smile: ...

#Whoever wants this gift can have it#

#Bro, I want to call the cops#

#I really don't want to date anyone#

In short, this is an unconventional story of her running away while He chases after her...

Theme: Even when life leaves you speechless, you must embrace a happy life.
