Trapped in the Seventies by the System

Lin Xuewu was a little bubble at the transmigration-into-a-book System Bureau, specializing in playing cannon fodder to keep the world’s storyline intact.

In The Stepmother of the Seventies, after the heroine, Su Hongmei, transmigrates, she marries the soldier hero, becomes the stepmother of two children, and officially begins her life as an army wife.

The two women who successively preside over the Gu family next door are both foils to the heroine, Su Hongmei.

The first wife is an arrogant young lady who thinks herself above everyone. Despite her poor background, she spends all day making trouble until her husband grows cold toward her and her son wants nothing to do with her. She appears in only three chapters before dying, embodying the very essence of cannon fodder with her life.

Her successor is a vicious supporting character with a major role. She abuses the children, envies the heroine, and makes trouble for her at every turn.

The heroine stays calm and waits for the right moment to expose the awful neighbor’s abuse and beatings of her stepson.

The child rescued by the heroine treats her as his real mother from then on, and grows up to honor her as one.

And Lin Xuewu, as a little bubble, is none other than that proud first wife who dies young. Her biggest task is to give birth to three sons for the heroine.

But just as she is about to successfully exit the story, the System malfunctions...

She gets stranded in the mission world, stuck in the short-on-food-and-clothing seventies.
