I'm Definitely Going to Be the Protagonist

Bai Wangsū was approached by a System and assigned to help the protagonist find opportunities and complete the storyline.

After listening to the System's explanation, he thought this could work.

"The protagonist gets pretty good treatment."

"Can't I be the protagonist instead?"

System: "...?"

"Is it that I can't beat the villains, or that I can't charm the supporting characters?"

"Show me the book." Bai Wangsū: "Who did you say the protagonist was again?"

The System panicked. "I didn't! I didn't say anything!"

"... Xuan Qing." Bai Wangsū: "So if I take his place, I can be the protagonist, right?"

The System was distraught.

When an opportunity appeared, Bai Wangsū approached the protagonist, who was holding a treasure, and said, "Hey, handsome, I really like that. Give it to me, okay?~"

"But you're the revered senior brother, noble and broad-minded, with a heart fit to embrace the world."

Bai Wangsū's lingering gaze caressed the protagonist's face. His voice was soft, winding around his ear. "Everyone else can have it. Why can't I?"

The protagonist's eyelashes trembled, and he didn't dare look at him. "...If you want it, you can have it."

Bai Wangsū said, "See? He's the one who wants to give it to me."

System: ... Died of anger.

What a spineless protagonist!

Because of the plot's unstoppable force, the protagonist still ended up with the spirit pill.

Bai Wangsū hooked the spirit pill out of the protagonist's mouth and stared at him. "I said it's mine. Don't steal it, okay?"

The protagonist's cheeks flushed red, and he looked very guilty. "I'll find you something even better, all right?"

Bai Wangsū hooked a finger under the protagonist's chin, smiling. "I only like the one you swallowed. How are you going to give it back to me?"

Gradually, more and more people gathered around Bai Wangsū, each presenting him with their finest treasures.

Everyone said the senior brother of Tianyi Sect was the foremost figure of the immortal sects, pure and noble as the moon. But Xuan Qing knew he wasn't so honorable.

On the night Bai Wangsū was to become engaged to someone else, Xuan Qing sat alone on Regretless Cliff all night. At last, he swallowed the pill everyone longed for, wrapped an arm around Bai Wangsū's waist, and said with serene clarity, "...Dual cultivation. Dual cultivation can transfer the power of the divine pill inside me to you."
