Lotus Devotion

"I learned it well, Your Highness. Look at me. The person I am now is a brothel woman, despised by countless people, filthy and lowly. As long as they pay enough, they'll use me like an animal. Your subordinates, your friends, the people you work with... Some of them may have been my clients back then."

"Your Highness, don't you think someone like me is... filthy?"

But that person only looked at her with compassion and said, "You're not filthy."

Later, that person gently wiped away the filth from her, bit by bit, and helped her see the light within herself.
