Lotus Flowers Blooming Side by Side in the Pond

The Twin Lotus Blooms: A truly gentle wife x a truly pitiful, insecure concubine

Blurb 1:

Everyone in the capital knows that General Dingguo married a wonderful wife. She's more beautiful than Xi Shi and well-read, erudite, reasonable, and gentle. While the general is away at war, she keeps his household in perfect order and even makes sure all his concubines are well cared for. She's never jealous or contentious, always gentle and forgiving. A wife like her is impossible to find, even with a lantern. The only problem is that she takes such good care of the concubines that some of them only have eyes for the madam and don't even recognize the general...

Blurb 2:

Lu Yan secretly harbors feelings for someone. The boldest thing she ever does is kiss her while she's drunk. Then she watches as the woman she loves gets engaged to and marries the general, and silently prays that she'll be happy. But life is unpredictable. Through a series of twists and turns, Lu Yan ends up in the general's household too, becoming one of his concubines... She has used up all her luck just by meeting Su Yanming.

Su Yanming doesn't mind her philandering husband. He can take as many concubines as he likes. But she never expected him to bring that particular woman home one day. From then on, Su Yanming has different plans for her life. Being a virtuous wife and loving mother is not her goal.

I'm not sure how to write a blurb, so please bear with me. In a nutshell, this is a story about a madam and her beloved concubine getting together and then living a carefree, secluded life. If you're reading a story with this premise, don't ask whether it's a one-to-one pairing. The author isn't a fan of that.

It should be my usual style: there will be angst, but not too much... probably? The ending is HE, yay!!! (Chin in hand: A little sweet? Really? Probably... Ahem, ahem.) Thanks so much for your support!

Theme: The story of a madam and her cherished concubine.
