He thought he would spend his whole life scraping by in dark corners, until he saw her.
She took him home and treated his wounds. She was the only person to approach him without an ulterior motive.
In an instant, Yun Zhigui knew she was the light of his life. At first sight, he fell for her and longed to be with her.
Chu Wangyi somehow ended up in the underworld and became its ruler.
Before she could even process what had happened, someone arrived from the Heavenly Court: a man of breathtaking beauty.
The Black and White Impermanence at her side told her that he was the only ghost immortal in the Three Realms, a man reputed to be cruel, violent, and cold-hearted.
Before Chu Wangyi had a chance to witness Yun Zhigui's cruelty for herself, she discovered that rumors couldn't be trusted.
Who was this smiling man before her, his eyes full of tenderness?!
