After the Villain Takes Power

After spending two years as a low-status male concubine, Jiang Zhou was bristling with hostility. He was treated coldly and looked down upon, insulted and despised, and had grown used to it. He and Feng Ling were always at odds; whenever they met, peace was almost impossible.

Everyone in Yifeng City knew Jiang Zhou's name, and for one reason only: he was notorious for his wicked schemes.

Feng Ling and Yun Mushen had once been a match made in heaven, but Jiang Zhou had torn them apart. At least things hadn't gone well for him either. He had schemed and stolen a marriage in an attempt to rise in status, only to end up with the title of male concubine.

Then, one day, everything changed.

Jiang Zhou thought for a long time before finally realizing he had always been an outsider. Of all the love and hatred, he had only ever been touched by the words "hatred" and "vengeance." It was truly loathsome.

He took all his belongings with him and checked them over and over, afraid he might leave something behind and have Feng Ling call it an ill omen later. Even after leaving, he might leave behind some junk to disgust him.

The remote, dilapidated courtyard was completely empty. The young master of the Feng family arrived late, deigning to lower himself to come at all. His face darkened, and his black eyes grew increasingly sinister and twisted.
