The Little Beauty and the Great Demon

[Complete. No longer serialized.] [Reason: There were major problems with the outline, and the entire novel needs a major rewrite. Once it's taken out of the paid serialization program, it can't be put back in, so the rest will be free when it's finished. I don't know when I'll finish revising and writing it, though. This novel will still be updated whenever I can. Sorry, everyone.] Yin Nie was accosted by someone who'd been waylaid along the road. Shen Zhiyu was dull and slow-witted, but ever since he'd lifted the curtain of Yin Nie's bridal sedan, he'd called him husband every day. The trouble was, this foolish man had a beautiful face and didn't even realize how stupid he was. Yin Nie had always acted recklessly, without a care in the world. He would never turn down a beauty throwing himself at him. A beautiful face and a warm bed were things he could take or leave, even scorn. Yet whenever he saw Shen Zhiyu, he couldn't help being drawn to him. How could the dignified Demon Lord admit that he'd been bewitched by beauty? The more he felt that way, the more impatient he became with Shen Zhiyu. Since he couldn't kill him, he decided to keep his distance. But Shen Zhiyu clung to him. When he was scared, he wanted Yin Nie to hold him. When he was happy, he wanted Yin Nie to hold him. Even when he was angry, he wanted a hug. Yin Nie's face darkened like the bottom of a pot, and several times he nearly struck him. But Shen Zhiyu was too weak. Killing him would only get Yin Nie laughed at, so he could only glower as someone burrowed into his arms. A fool was a fool. Shen Zhiyu ran off just because Yin Nie had honestly called him one. Yin Nie's face turned livid, but he couldn't bring himself to chase after him. If anyone found out he'd made a fool angry, wouldn't he lose face? Shen Zhiyu was heartbroken that his husband had called him a fool. He wasn't stupid at all. He'd barely had time to feel sad when, alone on the road, he was soon targeted by bad men. Luckily, a tall and handsome young swordsman saved him. The swordsman was taciturn but kindhearted, and since they were headed in the same direction, they traveled together. Later, Shen Zhiyu accidentally discovered that the young swordsman was none other than Yin Nie, the man who'd called him a fool. He must have come to make fun of him. Angry and hurt, Shen Zhiyu seized a chance to leave again. But he hadn't gone far before those men spotted him. He was scared. In a moment of desperation, he pretended nothing had happened and went back to Yin Nie. Going alone could get you killed. He wasn't stupid, and he wasn't going to walk off and get himself killed. As for Yin Nie, Shen Zhiyu secretly thought, Yin Nie was the real fool. He hadn't even realized that Shen Zhiyu had seen through his identity. Yin Nie: ...
