A Manga Background Character Accidentally Angers the Popular Guy

Li Xiu was an ordinary passerby in a girls' comic, one of the silent, helmeted guards who were everywhere in the escort corps.

According to the plot, the heroine would be attacked at today's grand auction. He was supposed to protect her retreat at the cost of his life, bleed out, and die a glorious death.

Knowing the comic's plot, Li Xiu had no intention of changing his fate as a background character.

Instead, he planned to use this opportunity to fake his death and disappear.

Just as he was changing positions to let the enemy wound him badly, a terrifying black shadow instantly devoured every enemy in sight, crushing their hearts as a show of force.

The uninvited guest strolled in through the door. His face was strikingly handsome and innocent-looking, and his red eyes were calm. No one dared meet his gaze.

Li Xiu knew who he was.

Ji Heng, an ability user who controlled darkness, known as the Silver-Haired Devil and a fan favorite in the comic.

He was also one of the leading male lead candidates, with a volatile temperament and a cruel nature. Readers joked that he'd scheme against even a dog passing by.

But that had nothing to do with an extra like Li Xiu. He quickly returned to his corner.

When the heroine thanked him and asked what he wanted, the elegant, dignified silver-haired boy used his shadow to haul Li Xiu over from the corner.

Ji Heng smiled playfully. "I want him."

Li Xiu: ?

The heroine: ?

Comic readers: Huh?

No, seriously, man, the gorgeous heroine is right there, and you want a foot soldier?
