Warning up front: Loads of headcanons, apologies for OOC and for everything. A fantasy adventure short story written to satisfy my own cravings, with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi as the main characters. The kids have a meeting in this story, and none of them are over eighteen.

Yamaguchi Tadashi thought he had seen something terrifying.
The monster had no eyes or nose. Its limbs were long and thin, and its hideous face gaped open to reveal a mouth full of sharp teeth. Its tongue was like a slick, wet snake's.
He fled in a panic. The next day, a boy in his grade died, his eyes cruelly gouged out.
He still didn't know that a disaster, carefully planned, was heading straight for him.
--
Tsukishima Kei knew he was different from other people.
With just a glance, he could hypnotize someone and make them hallucinate, so he wore glasses that concealed his ability.
But his power had no effect on his childhood friend, Yamaguchi Tadashi.
That boy had eyes unlike anyone else's.

The Silver Goblins, also known as Time Birds, care for the strange children born into this world. They have the ability to create time loops.
By setting up time loops, they create safe utopias for these strange children.
Two thirteen-year-old boys set out on a journey to find the Silver Goblins' protection.
They cross one abandoned time loop after another, encountering all kinds of strange children:
Hinata Shoyo, who carries the radiance of the sun and selflessly gives warmth to others. Kageyama Tobio is immortal, with extraordinary regenerative powers.
The child of the wind, Chigiri Hyoma, calls forth the wildness of the grasslands. Bachira Meguru, with a monster hidden inside him, lives in symbiosis with bees.
The Miya twins, each possessing the power of ice or fire, quietly protect a silent god.
P.S.
1. The inspiration and setting come from the film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. The film only, and it differs greatly from the original book.
2. There are lots and lots of headcanons. This is a fever-dream of a story and can be pretty nonsensical.
3. The kids' meeting: Yamaguchi and Tsukishima are both thirteen, Kageyama and Hinata are twelve, the Miya twins are eight, Bachira is nine, Chigiri is eleven, Kenma and Kuroo's ages are unspecified, and Nagi and Reo are both fifteen.
4. About the pairings: Tsukiyama, Kagehina, Nagireo, and Kuroken are established, devoted couples. But because of the characters' ages in this story, there is little romance or relationship drama. They get together as adults. I labeled it pure love because there is an endgame pairing, and I don't want to mislead anyone.
