The Bking’s Guide to Self-Salvation in a Comic

Qi Yue is transported into the shonen manga The Boy Hunter's Strange Tales as a transfer student. He has to survive in this manga full of superpowered people until the finale and become a popular character to be reborn.

Good news: He has a special ability, Perfect Copy.

Bad news: It comes with a negative buff: the stronger the opponent, the stronger he becomes; the weaker the opponent, the more likely he is to... die. The effect stacks, and he can't lie.

Qi Yue: "...?"

To survive until the manga's finale, Qi Yue is forced to play the enigmatic type and embark on the path of being a total BKing.

So...

When his classmates from Class F provoke him,

Qi Yue says flatly, "You're not worthy of being my opponent."

Class F students, hearing the transfer student's cold, merciless words: "?"

What an arrogant transfer student. The advanced classes are going to crush him!

That day, rumors about Qi Yue spread throughout the entire Ability Academy: They say Class F has a really arrogant transfer student. Make sure you teach him a lesson!

But...

Every student with special abilities who challenges Qi Yue says the same thing afterward: As expected of Qi Yue. He's got every right to be arrogant!

During a hunting mission, the casualties are devastating. Qi Yue arrives and decisively steps in front of the mutated creature boss, his gaze icy: "Your opponent is me."

The teachers and students waiting for death see Qi Yue suspended in midair, using a move even more unstoppable than the creature's to kill the boss in an instant: "!"

So strong!

After killing the mutated creature boss, Qi Yue looks expressionlessly at the panel that pops up and sighs to himself: ...The stronger I get, the more anxious I feel.

Who gets it?

Qi Yue's series of actions on the manga forum:

[He never easily gets close to anyone and is single-minded in his pursuit of strength. At crucial moments, he always takes charge without hesitation, faces danger head-on, and uses his imposing figure to protect everyone weaker than him. As expected of Boss Qi, powerful and gentle. I'm in love!]

[Though Boss Qi keeps a polite distance from most of the students, deep down he's already made room in his heart for every one of them. Again and again, he puts his life on the line for them. What a moving and admirable character.]

[He only ever chooses the strong as his opponents and never bullies the weak, saving them from danger instead. That's the special tenderness only a boss can offer!]

After completing the mission and returning to the real world, Qi Yue opens the manga...

Qi Yue: "?"

He just wanted to survive!

Content warnings: The protagonist has an overpowered golden finger. This is a delusional-fandom story, and very much so! Includes forum posts, readers following the manga in the real world, and the protagonist deliberately steering people's perceptions. The protagonist is not a good person. Cover uses a template. An absolutely brainless power fantasy!!!

An Ordinary Person, But Pretending to Be an Alpha in an AO Manga

Qin Su has a secret. Every night, this ordinary college student becomes a transfer student at a military university in the action manga about Alphas and Omegas, Interstellar Legend. The character is about to be written off because he has no popularity points. The panel tells him he can only stay alive if his popularity climbs to number one.

Qin Su: "?"

Does that make any sense? In a world with only two sexes, Alpha and Omega, how is an ordinary human like him, who is neither an Alpha nor an Omega, supposed to gain popularity...

Panel: [Death Warning!]

Qin Su: "...OK, fine. Panel, I know you're in a hurry, but don't panic yet. Watch me."

In the manga, Alphas are the ones who gain popularity most easily, so Qin Su decides to pass himself off as an Alpha to earn popularity points.

Step one in pretending to be an Alpha: No Alpha pheromones? Easy. Qin Su personally mixes a one-of-a-kind perfume formula and keeps it to himself.

On the first day of school, his classmates smell the crisp, domineering, powerful pheromones coming from Qin Su. It's a unique scent never before recorded among Alpha pheromones.

Step two: No presence created by pheromones? Simple. He has a plan. Qin Su manually adjusts the air conditioner.

During the class president election, Qin Su's expression darkens for an instant. An icy, oppressive aura washes over everyone, making their backs go cold.

Step three: No heat? No problem. Qin Su faces the mirror and pinches the spot on the back of his neck where he doesn't have a gland until it swells.

In the real world, Qin Su's roommate, who's following Interstellar Legend, watches the scene and exclaims, "Even with the back of his neck swollen and burning, he can calmly complete a mecha demonstration. As expected of Qin Su, what incredible self-control! This new transfer student character is so cool!"

Hearing his roommate, Qin Su just smiles without a word.

Pretending to be an Alpha is a piece of cake.

Manga forum:

[Compared with the bright, colorful protagonists, the black-haired boy in black clothes and black pants at the edge of the panel looks like an inconspicuous gray shadow, but... somehow he seems so charismatic! Is he a new character?]

[Is he an A or an O? Tall and slender, with a gloomy, icy air. Even the shade of the trees seems to turn cold around him. My guess is an A.]

[Aaah, I guessed right! He's really special. Even his pheromone scent is one of a kind!]

[As expected of an Alpha, he's A to the extreme! His self-control is off the charts. I hereby name him the Alpha of Alphas!]

Title: Becoming a Legend as a BKing in an Infinite Game

Blurb:

Yu Qinglan, who was hopelessly waiting for death to come, opens his eyes and discovers that he has entered a horror livestream game called Nightmare.

[Good news: Congratulations, you've drawn the SSR skill: Wordcraft.]

"!"

Doesn't that mean he controls everyone's fate?! Yu Qinglan grins.

The next second, the panel displays another message:

[Bad news: Other people can use the Wordcraft skill on you, but you can't use it on anyone else. Also, you can't lie while the skill is in use.]

Yu Qinglan: "...?"

Doesn't that mean his life is in someone else's hands?! Is that even humanly possible?

Yu Qinglan presses his upturned lips into a straight line and decides then and there that he's just not the kind of person who likes to smile.

The one thing he can be thankful for is that he can choose when to activate the skill.

To avoid being killed by players and NPCs, sickly Yu Qinglan decides to pretend to be a big shot and BKing his way through, raising the ceiling of his Wordcraft skill.

So...

At Green Mountain Sanatorium, facing the instance boss's deadly question, he looks toward the empty shrine and, in full view of all the players spying on him, leads the boss on: "You murmur my name day and night, and pursue me with all your strength, never giving up. One glance from me fills you with longing, making you tremble and worship in excitement... Tell me, who am I?"

In the middle of the blood-spattered, mottled corridor, confusion flickers in the golden eyes of the man. The cracks on his pale face slowly disappear, and his low, cold voice echoes through the hall: "My... beloved?"

Yu Qinglan: "...???"

Is that right?

Wasn't the answer supposed to be "god"?!

Content warnings:

1. 1v1, one male lead with fragmented identities, mutually exclusive relationships with others.
