[A plug for my upcoming story! The blurb is at the end. Also, please show some love to my completed novel, “[Three Kingdoms] After Restarting Twice, I Restored the Han Dynasty!”]
The Three Great Families have strict rules, and the mysterious Kamo Clan is renowned for Blood Manipulation.
Kamo Yu is the only child of her generation to fully inherit the family's ancestral technique. But the gifted young girl, burdened with great expectations, is carefree and wild, causing no end of headaches for the clan elders.
Kamo Yu doesn't care about them. What she cares about is the leopard-like boy she picked up, covered in wounds, with a scar at the corner of his mouth.
She never expected that, after they parted in haste as teenagers, each having schemed against the other, they would meet again.
Looking at the tyrant who had once shared an ambiguous relationship with her before she abandoned him, now fully transformed into a Sorcerer Killer, Kamo Yu finally understands what people mean when they say karma comes full circle.
Life is precious, but love is more precious still.
Kamo Yu: “But for freedom, I would give up both!”
*The story launches on Valentine's Day and updates every other evening at 21:00.
Warnings:
1. Logically speaking, the female lead is Megumi's mom, but her personality doesn't quite match the original character. She and Toji are a villainous couple, and neither of them is a good person. They do whatever they feel like. Also, since the female lead dislikes her own surname, Toji will most likely go by Zenin throughout the entire story. If that bothers you, please don't read.
2. This silly author is trying to sort out the timeline, but there may be minor discrepancies with the original. Please forgive me and consider them my patch notes. There are lots of original elements throughout, so please be aware!
3. The story won't focus on making up for the regrets of anyone other than Toji. Since a certain antagonist appears early, later events may change due to the butterfly effect, but they won't be explored in detail.
Original upcoming story: “[Infinite] College Student Selection Trials”
An Infinite Flow story about college students becoming saviors. No cookie-cutter formulas or repetitive tropes. Please take it home!
Jiang Tunan receives a strange message.
[Your husband is dead. I've cleaned the blood off the floor, and the soup made from his bones is in the pot. Hurry home. The children and I are waiting for you in the bowl.]
Everyone she meets urges her to go home: Auntie Wang at the village entrance, Auntie Shen who sells eggs, Grandpa Liu the knife sharpener, and even the college student who just returned to serve as the village secretary...
Every one of them wears a warm, welcoming smile, but they can't hide the blood and bits of flesh caught between their teeth.
Yet the college students who have returned to the village seem a little different.
They gather behind Jiang Tunan, restless and eager. Some ask, mouths watering, whether bone soup is really safe to drink. Others criticize them for only choosing junk food, with seasoning jars hanging from their waists. One is too scared to look anyone in the eye, but when Auntie Wang approaches, they let out a piercing shriek and kick her twenty meters away.
The rest say nothing, but the looks they give the villagers are no kinder.
Jiang Tunan simply smiles and leads them home.
In the dead of night, an unmistakable smell of blood seeps from the dilapidated house deep in the village, drawing the villagers to stare at the moon and swallow hungrily.
Human beings are ruled by desire and often make the ugliest choices. When desire reaches its peak, it is harvest time for the village.
But the next day, what they see are the dismembered limbs of the villagers, tossed outside the house.
At the old house's entrance, Jiang Tunan sits on a little stool, a bone knife embedded in her right side, drenched in blood and looking like the King of Hell himself.
Only later do they learn that what was amplified in Jiang Tunan was her desire to protect.
[She's a demon! You could stab her ten times, and she'd still strangle you to death without even furrowing her brow!]
Panic spreads quickly among the villagers.
Looking at their terrified faces, Jiang Tunan says she is completely innocent.
[But I really can't feel pain. I've been like this since I was a child. If you're afraid of me, why not be afraid of my adorable teammates instead?]
Thank you, my dear readers!
Theme: Having both love and freedom.
