[The Substitute Childhood Friend's Rise to the Top]
[Unrequited Love from the Hero / Road Trip / Redemption]
The night before Song Qinglan and Shen Huaixu are due to marry, her stepbrother Cheng Yu dies in a climbing accident, leaving no body behind.
The police rule it an accident, and everyone accepts that as the truth.
Only Song Qinglan refuses to believe it.
Because she knew Cheng Yu better than anyone.
Because they grew up together, and she was his nominal "younger sister," though they weren't related by blood.

Shen Huaixu loves Song Qinglan deeply.
During their childhood together, he quietly cared for her for years as Cheng Yu's friend.
At last, his wish comes true. But the scales in her heart tip once more.
To ease his fiancée's pain and regret, Shen Huaixu overcomes every obstacle to accompany her on a journey to the snow-covered mountains.
But he never imagined that every clue surrounding Cheng Yu's accident would point to him.
Between heaven and earth.
On the snow-covered mountain.
Shen Huaixu looks at the dagger pressed against his neck and Song Qinglan's trembling eyes.
He says gently:
"If I tell you it wasn't me, will you believe me?"
"Liar!"
He tilts his head slightly, takes her cold, trembling hand, and presses the blade more firmly against his neck
"Then, Lanlan, why don't you dare to stab me?"
#He wants to beat her dead beloved just once#
