Songs of Praise

I am a fierce daughter of a military family, and His Majesty bestowed me in marriage to the Prince of Yong'an.

But before I could enjoy even a few peaceful days, my dear husband brought his childhood sweetheart into the manor.

He said all the right things: "Song Song is like a younger sister to me. She just got back to the capital and hasn't settled in yet, so please look after her."

They thought I would be like an ordinary woman and let my husband push me around.

But I transmigrated here.

That girl's supposed sibling bond with Zhao Chengqian, the way she kept showing off in front of me, and those dresses and accessories that looked so much like mine were nothing but tricks played by that pair of adulterers, as far as I was concerned.

Then Zhao Chengqian and I went up the mountain to pray for blessings and ran into bandits.

When her thin, frail body held me tightly in its arms to protect me, I was stunned.
