Why Not Come Home with Me After School?

[Wild, Unruly Problem Student x Sweet, Black-Bellied Top Student]

Blurb:

Jin Zhuo had lived in a small town for over a decade, until he was forcibly claimed by his birth family and brought back.

He returned to a "home" where he had no memories and nothing or no one felt familiar.

His biological father thought he had nothing to offer and terrible grades.

His biological mother thought he was a rough country kid with no polish.

So they gave him a haircut and a makeover, then shoved him into the best elite high school in the big city. He went from being a senior with no particular ambitions, who thought a decent bachelor's degree was no better than an associate degree,

to a junior who'd already done sophomore year once but still couldn't understand what the teacher was saying.

When the local thugs came after him for revenge, Jin Zhuo smiled for the first time in ages.

But before he could even throw a punch, someone stopped him. Then a bunch of idiotic, chuuni kids came charging out and ruined his fun.

The idiot leading them was Xu Puer.

His head was covered by a school uniform soaked in the other boy's scent. In the darkness, he heard him say in his ear,

"Don't be scared. I'm here."

Scared? I'll give you something to be scared of.

Jin Zhuo didn't manage to beat his record for knocking out someone's front teeth, but he did earn the achievement of elbowing the top student in his grade during his first week of school.

Jin Zhuo sneaked out of class to visit his foster parents and got caught. He couldn't understand why Xu Puer always showed up when he was having the most fun.

The guy was sitting there, completely at ease, in his foster parents' noodle shop, waiting for his noodles while pointing at the multiple-choice questions Jin Zhuo had worked through over two pages.

"The answer's C. Want me to teach you? A private lesson from the top student himself, as long as you..."
