Recommended: My yuri novel, The Spoiled One, is available for pre-order in my author profile. Historical yuri.
Song Shujiu accidentally transmigrates on her way home from work into the yuri novel she was reading, The Phoenix's Favor, becoming the distinguished legitimate daughter of the prime minister's family.
When she opens her eyes, she's already at a dazzling palace banquet. According to the story, the new emperor is ascending the throne tonight, with a grand feast for the officials. Her mother is a powerful court minister and has been invited to sit at the place of honor. Riding on her mother's coattails, she takes a seat among the most distinguished guests. She transmigrated in such a hurry that she's feeling rather thirsty.
She goes all in on eating and drinking her way through the banquet. By the time it ends, her head is swimming, the fine wine has burned her throat, and she decides not to take the carriage.
On a cool, still night, she bumps into a sedan chair. As its curtains are drawn aside, she catches a glimpse of a refined, radiant face, aloof and noble, three parts brighter than the stars. The slight furrow of her brow gives her a naturally distant air.
A strong smell of blood comes from inside the sedan. Song Shujiu looks at her and sees blood dripping from the woman's arm beneath her luxurious robes and long sleeves. The vivid red against her pale skin makes a striking contrast. Song Shujiu suddenly feels parched, a wave of heat surging through her as her chest heaves.
Overwhelmed by the discomfort, she needs somewhere cool to soothe herself. The woman in the sedan looks down at her with an air of command, her features exquisite and her bearing noble. As if possessed, Song Shujiu reaches out and grabs the front of her clothes.
“Outrageous.”
A guard shouts at her, but the woman silences him with a glance.
Following the tug of the young woman's hand, Yan Chen's dark eyes flash with an unreadable emotion. She steps down from the sedan, her gaze fixed on the petite figure.
Song Shujiu stares at the woman's lips, thin as maple leaves and more delicate than cherry blossoms. She swallows, rises onto her tiptoes, and leans in.
“So forward.”
After a low laugh, she is pressed back against the vermilion wall of the palace passage. In the narrow walkway, the moonlight stretches their shadows long.
The mottled wall bears the marks of age, and the hard stones dig painfully into her back. A shadow falls over her. Song Shujiu looks up at that breathtaking face, a hint of amusement in her eyes. Long fingers lightly touch her lips, and Yan Chen takes the lead, deepening the kiss they had just begun with an assertive hunger.
Only afterward does she learn that the woman is the new emperor's elder sister, a person of exalted status and the empire's princess regent.
And The Phoenix's Favor is a historical yuri ABO novel.
She is tragically marked.

Su Wan marries Lin Yurong, doing the laundry and cooking, and dutifully caring for her parents-in-law.
After their wedding, her husband Lin Yurong devotes himself to his studies and the pursuit of official honors. On the day he returns in triumph, he brings someone with him.
That person is cool and noble, elegant and graceful. Most captivating of all are her long, narrow, foxlike eyes, which seem ready to ensnare anyone's soul.
All of Su Wan's years of waiting come to nothing. Her husband's family accuses her of being disrespectful and unfilial, takes her dowry, and demotes her to concubine.
Jiang Zhen and Lin Yurong celebrate a grand wedding, with a bridal procession stretching for miles.
On their wedding day, Su Wan prepares their nuptial wine with bitterness in her heart.
Her sister-in-law sneers beside her. “You said you'd be my brother's beast of burden. And now you've really become one for our family. How low.”
The nuptial wine in hand, Su Wan trembles all over.
At the bridal chamber door, she steps inside in a daze. The room is covered in red wedding finery, with golden cups and jade ornaments. Passing through one veil after another, she sees a dazzling figure at the far end.
Jiang Zhen's exquisite face meets her gaze without reservation. In the glow of the red candles, the corners of her lips slowly lift into a smile.
As Su Wan approaches, Jiang Zhen smiles coolly. “Sister, it's just the two of us here. Who did you bring this cup of wine for me to drink with?”
Su Wan is speechless. She looks at the man asleep by the bed, then at the woman meeting her eyes from a breath away.
It seems that Lin Yurong is nothing but thin air to her.
“After the way he treated you, don't you hate him?”
Jiang Zhen's voice takes on a hint of seduction in the night. She moves closer, bends down, and whispers in a voice only Su Wan can hear, “I can help you.”
Enveloped by Jiang Zhen's fragrance, Su Wan is entranced. Jiang Zhen takes the wine jug from her tray, pours a cup, and hands it to her. “Drink this.”
Su Wan tips her head back. The strong liquor stings her nose, and the figure before her sways. She has never been able to hold her drink, and just as she starts to fall, a pair of hands catches her in time.
She doesn't even know why she drank the wine this woman offered her.
Jiang Zhen looks down at the woman in her arms with satisfaction, lifts her soft, delicate body, carries her to the bed, and kicks Lin Yurong aside.
