As the only hope of the demon realm, You Xi heads to the foremost immortal sect to study under its masters. Her people await her return, hoping she will decipher the Book of Falling Moon, a celestial text no demon in the realm can understand, and restore their former glory.

You Xi is a venomous snake demon, but she is timid and painfully awkward around people. The friendlier someone is to her, the more she wants to run away.

Unfortunately, Miss You was born with a dewy, adorable face, so everyone at the sect is eager to welcome her.

You Xi: Don't come any closer! QAQ

The only one who makes her feel safe is her fellow disciple, Senior Brother Jing, a cold, taciturn man.

When she goes to pick spirit fruit, she asks Senior Brother Jing to keep watch.

In the orchard, You Xi leans against a rock and snoozes away. Beneath the hem of her moon-white skirt, her tail swishes back and forth, curling into loops.

When a disciple passes by, Senior Brother Jing hurriedly covers her tail with dead leaves. He accidentally gets caught in it himself and is made to stand at attention for half the day.

When they go out on a training expedition, she volunteers to be paired with Senior Brother Jing.

They run into a giant bat demon. Terrified, she reverts to her true form, curls into a ball, and pretends to be dead. After slaying the bat demon, Senior Brother Jing silently picks up the little snake and tucks her into his sleeve to take her back to the sect.

You Xi, still pretending to be dead, secretly crawls out of Senior Brother Jing's room. That was close. He didn't notice me.

Senior Brother Jing: .

To cover for You Xi, who is terrible at hiding her identity, Senior Brother Jing works himself to the bone.

Every now and then, he catches a glimpse of "Snake peeking out," "Snake drinking water," or "Snake sticking out her tongue, nyah nyah nyah," and can't help being overwhelmed by her cuteness.

Their fellow disciples say the two of them are so close, but Senior Brother Jing always responds with a stony face, "There must be some misunderstanding."

In a perilous situation, You Xi turns pale and transfers her precious snake core into his mouth, preserving a thousand years of his cultivation. A crack appears in the heart of Yin Yue, who has spent nine lifetimes cultivating the merciless path and is on the verge of achieving perfection.

He can no longer remain calm.

Later, You Xi makes a grave mistake and is sentenced to be expelled from the immortal sect.

At her trial, over a thousand disciples gather to watch.

From his seat on the Immortal Platform, the mighty Lord Yin Yue, whose bearing is as crisp as a frost-covered pine, reaches out to the little snake. "You Xi, come here."

Blurb for an upcoming story: Nineteen years after transmigrating into the cultivation world, Jiang Yu awakens a useless golden finger. She is bound to a choose-one System, which only works when her archenemy Su Zhou is around.

The two have never gotten along. Their rivalry becomes even fiercer as they compete for a spot among the core disciples.

Su Zhou's secret is on the verge of being discovered. The System says: As the only person who knows the truth, you must choose:

[A. Tell everyone on the spot / B. Keep his secret]

Jiang Yu chooses A without hesitation, but her finger slips and she picks B instead.

Jiang Yu: Damn it.

No matter how aggressively the other person presses her, she can't get a single word out.

From that day on, the way her nemesis looks at her begins to change.

*

Su Zhou is badly wounded and collapses from exhaustion. The System says: Take this opportunity to choose:

[A. Humiliate him mercilessly / B. Steal a kiss while you can]

Jiang Yu: What kind of person wouldn't pick A?

The taunt is just about to leave her lips when she slips, and her lips brush against his.

Her nemesis's pupils shake. His whole body stiffens, and the tips of his ears turn crimson.

The two are trapped in a secret realm. The System says: At this life-or-death moment, choose:

[A. Help him up and run together / B. Carry him on your back and run together]

Jiang Yu: I choose C. I'll run by myself.

System: [This System does not have a C option.]

Jiang Yu: #%@!

She grits her teeth, helps him up, and escapes the secret realm with him, never noticing that Su Zhou keeps his sword between her and danger.

Not long afterward, Jiang Yu receives a birthday gift from Su Zhou, something that has never happened before. A System prompt pops up: Your relationship with Su Zhou is progressing. Choose:

[A. Confess to him / B. Wait for him to confess]

Jiang Yu chooses B, thinking that even when she's lying in her coffin, that cold, arrogant narcissist will never confess to her.

That night, someone taps on her window.

The young man stands outside with a sword in his arms, his slender silhouette reflected beside the window. He says, "Jiang Yu, I like you."
