A Forward's Lover, Now and Then
Bayern are now one goal behind.
They haven't managed to make home advantage count, and the players are struggling. The stands are silent, with only a small pocket of away fans cheering.
"Looks like Guardiola needs to consider making a substitution to change the game."
As the commentator speaks, the broadcast cuts to Bayern's bench. A handsome Pole stands out, watching the game intently with a grave expression, his face turned in profile to the camera.
"The coach's most likely move would be to take off a defender and bring on either a dynamic striker or a midfielder who can dictate play."
"There's a good chance he'll bring on Lewandowski. He's been in great form ever since joining Bayern, though Guardiola doesn't much like using a center forward. Still, sometimes you have to consider a new tactic... Oh! What's that?"
The commentator cries out.
The pile of clothes behind Lewandowski shifts on camera, and a garment slips to the floor.
A white-haired head comes to rest on Lewandowski's shoulder.
A tall, broad-shouldered figure sways over him from behind, his shadow enveloping the Pole. Sleepy and languid, yet possessive, he claims the little patch of bench where number nine sits.
Lewandowski seems completely unaware. His expression doesn't change at the man's movements, but he relaxes his shoulder to make it more comfortable to rest on. Keeping his eyes fixed on the pitch, he says something. The head shakes, white hair swaying with the motion.
The camera zooms in.
The man immediately raises his head, his sharp gaze locking onto the source of the intrusion. When he sees it's a camera, his eyelids droop again, and he slowly buries his head back in Lewandowski's shoulder.
But that sharp glance was like a blade, piercing the screen and stabbing into viewers' hearts. His pale blue eyes left a lingering chill around the wound.
"Wow..."
The commentator's soft murmur reaches the audience.
"Bayern really have brought England's darling back from those stingy Brits."
"Albert Revor."
"The Silver Eagle's searing blood and bones melted the river locked in ice."
Albert Revor × Robert Lewandowski
Iron Gate, assist-providing midfielder × goal-machine, poaching striker
An unconventional romance.
Theme: "I flew ten thousand miles around the world with him, and together we endured dreams that might not last until morning."
