And Fran? Fran was born with a go-with-the-flow attitude. If he realized he couldn't win, he'd just do what the stronger person wanted. No matter where they shoved him, he'd complain as he went along. If he really couldn't accept it, he'd use an illusion to humor them. But now the young man stood immaculate among them. To his left were the guardians of the Vongola Decimo, every one of them wearing a Vongola ring on a chain around their neck. To his right was the Varia assassination squad, adorned with their insignia in a haphazard assortment of ways. He fit in, wearing a neatly tailored suit jacket over a thin, high-necked sweater that faded from green to dark green. Aside from the hat formed by his illusions, he wore nothing that signaled his identity or allegiance to either side.

He wasn't flashy at all, nor did he look out of place among them. But only a careful observer would notice that he wasn't truly part of either faction, and had no intention of becoming part of either one.

Theme: Mist should be just as it is: ethereal and elusive, impossible to grasp or touch. It rises and sinks, buffeted by wind and sun, never condensing into anything solid, never revealing its origins, never allowing anyone to claim ownership.
