[Blurb to be revised] [Thinking of changing the premise] [Maybe change it to something like The Picture of Dorian Gray]
From the moment Dorian was born, a pair of pure white wings grew from his back. He was hailed as a miracle of God.
He was a real... "angel."
He was a freak in a circus.
At the same time, he was a PC (Player Character), a character controlled by a player in a role-playing game. Trapped inside his own body, he watched as the player used it to approach antisocial lowlifes, heartless evil spirits, and monsters who knew nothing of love or hate. The player won them over, pleased them, and made them fall in love.
Then one day, the player abandoned the game, leaving Dorian with his freedom restored and no choice but to face those horrifying creatures alone.
He was afraid of dying, but even more afraid of what those freaks would do to him if they discovered he wasn't the player. Pale with terror, Dorian fled on the spot, rescuing a victim along the way.

He thought he could scrape by and stay alive.
Until one day, an FBI agent brought him some news: at a crime scene nearby, they had found Dorian's name. The mad butcher once known as the "Blood-Faced Killer," who had vanished for years, had written him a message in blood: "I won't stop searching for you until my teeth pierce you, until my upper and lower teeth meet, until I no longer feel hungry. And now, I see you."
"But I'm still ravenously hungry."
The monsters were coming for him! They would punish, hurt, and torture Dorian. If they discovered he wasn't the player, they would show him no mercy...
Dorian was scared out of his wits.
*
He had no idea what kind of monster he had rescued.
A cruel, ruthless predator in human skin, arrogant and full of himself. He watched Dorian every moment, seeing him as an "angel" who had yet to be corrupted, the perfect victim.
So, years later, when a more mature, composed, and handsome man realized how afraid Dorian was, he came to him of his own accord and said, "Those greedy hyenas are closing in, following your scent. I can help you."
"All it will cost is a tiny little something." The monster wrapped in human skin spoke in a nauseatingly gentle voice. "Those filthy creatures have no right to lay a finger on you."
A violent, wicked boy's ghost emerged of its own accord from a haunted house. A righteous police officer moved in with him. A vengeful spirit unable to leave its hotel chose his location for a century's most notorious killer's night of revelry. A handsome vampire left his lair for him...
But Dorian couldn't run forever. Those eerie, deranged, terrifying things still came swarming toward him like dogs catching a scent: a butcher with a twisted personality, a Frankenstein-like monster, a doctor conducting human experiments...
They were obsessed with Dorian, yet tried to hurt him when they discovered he wasn't the player. In such a terrifying place, Dorian went mad.
As he stood in a white robe, raising an axe high, his face spattered with the blood of the wicked, the hotel ghost, convinced he was perfect, clapped enthusiastically and called out in fascination, "My holiest angel!"
Much later, even those freaks who had looked down on him, hated him for taking the player's place, and gone mad with the desire to kill him came to believe that Dorian was a holy angel, a perfect and pure victim.
How pathetic.
[Reading Guide]
★ Everyone is drawn to the protagonist. This blurb is the result of combining two horror ensemble and original stories I had in reserve several years ago (you can still find them).
★ The characters targeted by the player will fall for him too!
★ The blurb's background draws on American Horror Story: Freak Show S04, S05, and S01.
★ As always, the main love interest is the sunny type who brings the protagonist happiness, not a psycho.
★ Anyway, this is another American Horror Story story I had in reserve (holding a rose in my teeth). The protagonist is an angel-like character with an axe. You can tell from the blurb that the overall tone is a bit oppressive. Either you erupt in silence, or you go mad in silence. The protagonist just erupts (.)
Theme: Lift up your face, and you will be without blemish.
