A Divine Inheritance

Tang Kongwen was born unlucky and had been a walking disaster ever since he was a child.

When he was twelve, his father died in an accident.

His dad had been a strange, mystical sort who barely took care of him, but supposedly left him a mysterious inheritance.

It really was mysterious.

It took him ten years to find it.

A huge house.

A vast fortune.

And... an old immortal who appeared out of thin air.

The white-haired man, floating with an air of immortality, sat with one leg crossed over the other, eating spicy strips and watching melodramatic prime-time TV. He said two things to Tang Kongwen.

The first was:

"What took you so long? I've been waiting for you for eight hundred years."

The second was:

"I'm an immortal. You can make a wish!"
