Pollution Besieges the City

In recent years, the area affected by pollution has continued to expand. New pollutants keep emerging, and infections are on the rise. Beneath the calm, an apocalypse is brewing.

Yu Weiran is an ordinary person with no supernatural abilities. Luo Weiche, captain of the Special Abilities Operations Division, is everyone else's idol, as well as his lover. But five years ago, Luo Weiche left without a word, leaving nothing behind. He vanished without a trace, and rumors said he was dead.

Yu Weiran refused to believe it.

Five years later, Luo Weiche came back from the dead and reappeared in his life. Time had moved on, and Yu Weiran was now head of an investigation team at the Environmental Protection Bureau. When they first met, Luo Weiche had rescued him from a sea of flames. This time, homeless Luo Weiche clung to him and asked, "Baby, can I come home with you?"

Luo Weiche was famous, a talent every department was fighting to recruit. Captain Yu thought it over, softened, and agreed.

One day, Yu Weiran went to a meeting at the Joint Center. During the meeting, a senior official suddenly said, "It seems we've found a lead on Luo Weiche."

Yu Weiran's hand, holding his pen, paused.

The official continued, "He's been missing for so long. I suggest we issue a wanted notice and 'invite' him back by force."

"..."

The pen in Yu Weiran's hand slipped and flew across the room, thumping the official on the forehead.

The official: ?

#What to do when your missing boyfriend comes back as a wanted criminal

After coming back, Luo Weiche was no different from before. He said and did all kinds of things to make Yu Weiran happy, but never mentioned the five years he'd been gone. Whenever Yu Weiran probed or expressed suspicion, he dodged the subject and changed the topic.

Until one day.

Yu Weiran was badly injured and nearly unconscious, with an S-rank pollutant closing in on him.

At the brink of death, he saw Luo Weiche wreathed in black mist, a pair of huge black wings sprouting from his back.

That night, someone in the next hospital room kept them up until the early hours, repeating the same conversation over and over.

"If I turn into a monster, will you still love me?"

"Lie down first..."

"Sniff, so you don't love me anymore QAQ"

"..."
