Angsty melodrama / chasing your ex after a breakup / toxic romance

You should be a dream, and I should be a breeze.

Gu Cheng

Gu Meng met a woman like the wind: beautiful, uninhibited, free, and passionate. For the first time, she knew what it was like to have her heart skip a beat. Unable to stop herself, she fell into an endless web of love and a beautiful, beguiling dream.

She fell head over heels, loving without reservation.

But the wind would not stay. Her lover still cherished her freedom, kept a steady stream of close female friends around her, and always came home smelling of alcohol. Gu Meng, lost in her beautiful dream, was left to suffer.

At last, the dream ended.

Gu Meng stopped making a scene. Without warning, she left and never contacted her again.

From now on, she would be the wind, free and untethered.

But somehow, that woman fell into a dream of her own and came chasing after her.

Travel-worn, she stood outside Gu Meng's window, hoping that, just like before, she could not only turn the pages of Gu Meng's book, but also stir her heart.

Gu Meng closed the window.

She shut the path that led into her heart.
