After that bizarre business of making contact with her theoretical mother and then being transported to another world, Bai Xi accepted it with surprising calm and got on with her life, going to school. Even all sorts of chaotic random events triggered by games her friends liked to play did nothing to affect her mental state.
But that didn't mean she could calmly accept every absurd thing. The Tequila Girl and the pair with steak-shaped heads she met at the bookstore had already upended her understanding of this world. Then all kinds of supernatural abilities shattered her hopes of exploring it in relative peace. Ripple powers, Stands... Just how many Stand users are there in this world? Oh, she's a power user from another world herself. Never mind.
Can anyone really live in peace after accidentally wandering into what seems like a game dungeon during the holidays, then inadvertently starting a whole series of ridiculously long quests?
Bai Xi, realizing she'd fallen into a huge pit: Thanks for asking. Peace was gone a long time ago.
There are many ways to enter a dungeon. You might get curious and go into an unfamiliar old mansion, suddenly find an extra multiple-choice question on a history exam, or run into a ghost while wandering around school at night.
This is hilarious. As a Cleaner of Lidiaos, she's seen all kinds of things, but she's never seen anything like this.
What kind of teacher stops acting like a person in a dungeon? And some aren't even people at all. Kira's "mother" in Araki Manor is a murderer. The elusive head teacher and the student council president turn out to be a shared-body final boss. The approachable school counselor is a reckless idealist bent on creating a new world.
The new campus is even more full of hidden talents. The political science teacher who looks quite young is actually an elderly former U.S. president, and the trendy mushroom-haired student is a silicon-based life-form... They all have one thing in common: they have a special connection with people who have star-shaped birthmarks. What a coincidence. She has a special connection with them, too.
Wait, something else seems off about this dungeon. Why is there another version of herself, but male?
Bai Xi: ...What the heck?
Chat System 10: No idea.
Alternate Self "Bai Xi": Huh?
[???]: Hehe~
Another day of Bai Xi doing her best to live in another world.
Bai Xi: I'm kind of numb to it. Though I'm not human either.
This is a revised version of The Little Things About Living in Another World. It's essentially been rewritten from scratch because I couldn't stand what I'd written the first time. Just skim the blurb. The heroine comes from another world, so there will be lots of original storylines related to other worlds. Updates will be slow, and the story will focus mainly on the plot.
Warning: The author likes messy relationships. Established couples generally won't be broken up, but there may be threesomes. The main plot might not have a particularly prominent, straightforward romance. Read the pairings and friendships as you please. I have no hang-ups about relationship purity, so there's a bit of everything. The writing is rough, updates are slow, and I'm a little unmotivated, but it's all right.
Theme: Exploring the meaning of life
